Experience working on medicinal chemistry projects, on a range of targets across various therapeutic areas. Main responsibilities include independent design and synthesis of novel compounds towards project specific goals in response to DMPK data. Skilled with most modern laboratory, analytical (HPLC, GC, LCMS) and spectroscopic (NMR, IR, UV) instrumentation.

Primarily carrying out initial sample preparation/submission for analysis a wide variety of clinical specimens, working closely with/within Haematology, Microbiology and Biochemistry units.

Main responsibilities included: preparing safe practical lessons, disposing of chemical waste correctly and safely, preparing standard/buffer solutions and calibrating pH meters; testing new practical sessions.
