I am a Mechanical Design Engineer experienced in the product development of biomedical, hi-tech and consumer products from proof of concept prototypes through to production transfer.Interested in biomedical, medical device and consumer products bringing ease of use to help people and stretch the limits of conventional use through a product design. Whether it be to reduce time to result or, eliminate confusion and access critical information without distraction.Design experience with medical devices, biomedical instruments with electro-mechanical components including pneumatics.Components designed for a large suite of manufacturing techniques including but not limited to; Injection Molding, Machining, Sheet-metal Fabrication, Die Casting, Thixomolding, and Additive Manufacturing(3D Printing).Injection molding experience including complex component design, DFM (Design for Manufacture), tool maker discussions on positioning important features.Use of SOLIDWORKS and Enterprise PDM and now SOLIDWORKS PDM.Drafting to ASME Y14.5 2009, with full use of GD&T.FEA during component design and verification.Looking to enhance my knowledge and learn new and old techniques.
