Manager of two five person engineering teams, weekly responsibilities include: code reviews, specification review, coaching, one on one meetings with direct reports, and reduced coding. Longer term focuses have involved scaling the engineering department via refining hiring and on-boarding processes, creating documentation, defining and improving the release/deployment processes.

Technical leader responsible for a significant amount of coding, architecture/code review, as well as ensuring successful project delivery for a team of up to seven engineers. Successfully shipped three new customer facing modules which resulted in nearly double monthly active users after one year. Worked closely with Product and Design teams to maintain specification quality and provide time estimates. Managed sprints, ran standup meetings and retrospectives.

As a senior engineer helped develop the web application that has been used to manage and sell every HUD home since 2010. Responsibilities have included leading the front/backend development of real time custom dashboards, business intelligence reports, data warehousing, and SQL query optimization/tuning.

Designed and built a web application that has connected thousands of teachers and parents through text messaging. Single technical team member responsible for all development, maintenance, and testing. Built Kikutext using the Django web framework, Knockout, Twilio SMS API, and served from Amazon AWS.

Provided I.T. support in a small office setting. Duties included solving Windows workstation issues, editing various web pages, scripting, and assisting in the management of the UCSB Extension Linux servers.
