In this role I am responsible for helping define the long-term strategy for Cable Network Products at SED reporting to the Vice-President of Communication Products. This strategy is then realized through business development and sales to sign business, followed by ownership of the contractual agreement and execution of the work. In this role I serve as Business Development, Sales, Product Manager, and Project Manager with annual responsibility for signings, revenue, and profit.

Responsibilities included identifying market opportunities that SED has technology or expertise to meet with the goal of generating new business. I assisted Business Unit Directors in generating marketing materials, advertisements, coordinating tradeshow participation, and preparing proposals. Majority of my time focused on developing new business for SED in the cable telecommunications market. This entailed identifying and developing strategic industry relationships, identifying and proposing technical architectures, and ultimately negotiating commercial terms.

Worked primarily in identifying business opportunities for Vecima's IEEE 802.16 WiMAX wireless networking equipment. This required connecting with customers to understand their system needs, selling Vecima's technology, capabilities and upcoming products, and performing market research for future technologies and products.

This entailed understanding customer requirements, ensuring the equipment and system being sold would meet the actual needs of the customer. During this time I also worked as a project manager on a multi-million dollar development project.

Developed software solutions for the Canadian Cooperative Wildlife Health Centre based out of the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Saskatchewan. Responsibilities included the software system design, implementation, test, commissioning, and support of software applications. Successfully performed database design and implementation using MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Microsoft Access. Programmed with the Pascal programming language in a Delphi development environment and scripted using Python.

Assisted with hardware PCB developments, circuit designs, FPGA developments, micro-controller programming, and PLC programming. I was responsible for electrical characterization and analysis for all sensors used at IRD.
