My goal is to contribute to the development of the energy sector, driven by curiosity to explore new frontiers and a commitment to leveraging technology to solve complex challenges.During my studies at Simon Bolívar University in Venezuela, I developed a strong foundation in exploration geophysics, gaining hands-on experience in MATLAB programming, geophysical methods, and fieldwork.As an intern at the Venezuelan Institute of Oil Technology (INTEVEP), the leading research hub of PDVSA, I collaborated with international, multidisciplinary teams on the Magna Reserves project, which positioned Venezuela as the country with the world’s largest certified oil reserves.After graduation, I spent five years at PDVSA, where I gained invaluable experience ranging from seismic land acquisition in multicomponent surveys in Venezuela’s Orinoco Oil Belt to supervising major onshore and offshore seismic processing projects at the National Geophysics Processing Center.Eager to expand my knowledge, I pursued an MSc and PhD at China University of Petroleum (Beijing), focusing on geophysical research projects and integrating machine learning techniques using Python for reservoir property prediction. Additionally, I actively contributed to the geophysics community by volunteering at SEG events.My time in China was transformative, marked by invaluable collaboration, lifelong learning, and the pursuit of excellence. I was also a founding member of the International Students Association Innovation Platform (ISAIP), aimed at empowering students to excel academically and prepare for industry work.I achieved several notable accomplishments during my studies, including the Wang Tao Talent Scholarship, Best Student Paper at the Chinese Geosciences Forum, and Best Delegation at the Model United Nations. I gained international industry experience through internships with Total in France and BGP-CNPC in China, where I applied AI-driven techniques to optimize seismic data processing tasks.I also led my team in the SEG EVOLVE program, a rigorous experience that honed my skills in effective communication, critical thinking, and creative problem-solving under high-pressure scenarios.Looking ahead, I am excited to bring my skills and expertise, international perspective, and passion for innovation to new opportunities.
