I was the Chief Information Security Officer at SETL.IO and was responsible for all aspects of the firm’s global security and resilience programmes, both at the strategic and tactical level. I worked closely with SETL’s clients to give assurance of the firm’s security posture and Blockchain solution. SETL was launched in July 2015 to deploy a multi-asset, multi-currency institutional payment and settlements infrastructure based on blockchain technology. The SETL system can process over 1.3 billion movements per day at speeds in excess of 10 thousand transitions per second and will enable market participants to move cash and assets directly between each other, facilitating the immediate and final settlement of market transactions.

I was responsible for establishing the Group's strategy on Information Security (IS) and Data Protection (DP); setting and maintaining appropriate policies; overseeing compliance with IS and DP related Legislation, Regulation (including GDPR) and industry guidance and raising awareness at all levels within the Group of IS and DP issues.
