Douglas Smith is a multi-faceted supply chain and operations executive with over 30 years’ experience in a wide range of industries including, Military, Retail, Ecommerce, Manufacturing, and Repair support. He has used his experience to improve operations at Companies such as PETsMART, Guitar Center, Sony Electronics, and currently at Boot Barn, where he leads the Logistics, Operations, and the Customer Experience Groups. He builds teams that focus on exceeding customer expectations while reducing costs through innovative process improvement.In addition to Supply Chain, Doug also has worked in Inventory planning, Strategic business development, and System integration project management. He is also involved with industry organizations including serving on the advisory board for the Parcel Forum, a member of the DHL customer council, and speaking at various Supply Chain events annually.Doug holds an MBA in International Business from Park University and he received his undergraduate degree in Organizational Management from Roberts Wesleyan College. Doug enjoys volunteering with his family as a Unit Leader in the Boy Scouts of America and also at their local Public Television Station.
