I handle Fort Meigs' social media and online presence. I launched the Fort Meigs Facebook page, Twitter account, and YouTube channel. I create much of the content for the various channels, including all of the weekly videos on YouTube. This includes capturing raw footage, editing, and post production of the site’s YouTube videos.

In my primary role I am in charge of the event planning and development of all special events, historical reenactments, workshops, educational programs, and other public activities hosted by Fort Meigs. I am in charge of developing new activities and programs and I have an active role in conducting many of the programs offered by the historic site. I lead tours and conduct public speaking presentations on topics related to Fort Meigs and its history.

For the past several years I have handled much of the event marketing related to Fort Meigs Historic Site's programming. This role includes writing press releases and creating print and digital advertisements. I write headlines, copy text, and design the images and graphics used in the advertisements and I have developed relationships with local advertising agents to promote Fort Meigs’ programs and events.

In 2006 I took over management of all aspects of the Fort Meigs website, https://www.fortmeigs.org. I taught myself how to code HTML and CSS and am proficient in Javascript and PHP. I have hand-coded several iterations of the Fort Meigs website from the ground up. I am solely responsible for all content within the site, including copywriting and graphic design. I have also created a privately accessed sub-site for use of the Fort Meigs volunteers. I have used these skills to assist other historic sites with their own websites, including https://www.oldfortmadison.org.

I stepped into the vacant role of Education Specialist until being hired in permanently in 2007. The role's title changed to Programs Manager several years later.

As a Historical Interpreter I presented and discussed all aspects of the history of Fort Meigs with site visitors while dressed in historically accurate reproduced attire from the time of the War of 1812. I led tours of the site for private groups of all ages and sizes, especially school groups, and conducted historical weapon demonstrations on a daily basis. I also handled numerous off-site public speaking appearances and presentations.
