At the core of Clearspan is Broadsoft's BroadWorks. The product has a redundancy/reliability story that is second to none and is the horsepower behind some of the worlds largest public and private Cloud Unified Communications deployments.Carrier class redundancy and best in class Unified Communications to the Enterprise.Daily tasks had me configuring BroadSoft including lab testing and proof of concept projects in conjunction with Aastra SIP endpoints. I also have high level of administrative expertise with SIP endpoints from Polycom and Cisco.I authored responses to the technical sections of Aastra/Mitel RFP's. Designed customer solutions that included large multi-site UC solutions, Call Center solutions, VoIP Quality Monitoring, VoIP Network Preparation, and Enhanced 911 solutions.
Had dual focus based on expertise obtained over the previous 9 years:Architect Service Provider networks, network management, and self-serve portals;Provided Sales Engineering support for organizations with local Sales personnel but no justification for a full-time Sales Engineer. My focus was primarily on VoIP and Video Collaboration (Polycom, LifeSize, RADvision).
I built this territory from scratch and went from $0 to $25M in revenue annually by 2001. I managed S. Central Region (TX, AZ, CO, UT, OK, LA, AR, and NM). I was the Regional Manager (with a personal quota) for 9 years and played a dual role when I became National Product Manager for the CLEC division. I managed sales offices in Dallas and Denver.Designed ISP Networks (Layer-1 thru 4 infrastructures) and created long term modular growth strategy with my customers. Used my engineering skill-set to help customers with load-balancing and application improvement strategies with products from Foundry and F5.I was responsible for increasing revenue and market share with all of the nationwide accounts headquartered in my region. I converted a small CPE customer ($1,000/ month) to a major account with revenue in excess of $6M per year (Allegiance Telecom, now part of XO Communications). The dollar volume and technical nature of this business required a consultative/solution selling approach. My contact with our customers was at the Director level and I had monthly contact at the ‘C’ Level.Built strong relationships and synergy with our manufacturers (Foundry, Juniper, F5, Cisco, Extreme, Riverstone, U.S. Robotics/CommWorks/3COM, Redback, Alvarion, Proxim, Navini and CacheFlow). For example: I created an equipment “staging” service that prompted a manufacturer to push $8M in annual revenue through my Region where the previous volume was $0.Performed all Pre-sales and Post-sales engineering including: network design (routing protocol specification-design (BGP/IGP, efficient IPV4 address space use), outdoor wireless network design/site selection, router/switch installation (BGP/IGP setup – Cisco, Juniper, Extreme, Redback, and Riverstone), and outdoor wireless site surveys.

My initial experience had me designing everything from basic pneumatic temperature controls systems in public school type buildings to designing large scale energy management systems that controlled mission critical research labs. I also performed energy studies on large facilities looking for opportunities to save on energy usage. I am an expert at understanding large facility HVAC design/operations and can quickly tell a facility owner if they are running a "tight-ship". Extensive experience with large lab facilities (designed VAV lab systems) and designing/implementing Chiller Plant optimization. To this day (2018) I still use my knowledge to help facilities people find design, operational, or maintenance issues that are causing excessive energy use.(note: When I worked in this business unit it was called Landis & Gyr and was purchased by Siemens).
