As a high school student I did not expect my first serious job to turn into a nearly decade long passion. I was fortunate enough to find myself in an environment filled with people that are passionate about their careers, and could help instill the love of food service in others. Starting as a dishwasher myself, these people helped me learn and grow until I was able to lead and inspire others, eventually becoming a junior manager in an ever growing and changing staff. I have since left this position to continue learning from others and expand my culinary knowledge and expertise. During this time I completed my degree in Physics and Astronomy for which I also developed a passion. My time at the University of Waterloo taught skills such as discipline, critical thinking, and a love for learning that compliments my time in hospitality quite well. While after graduating I decided to focus on my career I still study in my spare time, continuing to program and model physics problems in python.
