While working with her caseload in their job search Diane also networks with the community and educates businesses and hiring managers about Goodwill's clients who want to work. Getting to know the employers and discussing their employment/business needs allows Diane to match clients and often this leads to meaningful relationships that are mutually beneficial. Whether it be a short-term work-based learning experience, an informational interview or a placement that lasts for years, both employer and employee can gain from the experience. Diane served the Graduate, On-Line and Professional Studies division in Undergraduate Student Services. She predominantly served Psychology Students in her time at UML, with a caseload of over 600 students she worked closely with many from admission to graduation. She also served students in other programs including IT, Certificates, Criminal Justice Programs, English, Liberal Arts and Business Administration. She predominantly served Psychology Students in her time at UML, with a caseload of over 600 students she worked closely with many from admission to graduation. She also served students in other programs including IT, Certificates, Criminal Justice Programs, English, Liberal Arts and Business Administration. Previously, she had been responsible for the Behavioral Intervention in Autism Graduate Certificate programs, before divisional reallocation of resources. As an ambassador to the programs, she helped new students and inquiring students plan their future at UML. Transfer students consulted with her re: the evaluation of their transfer credits and using that information she works with them to help them decide which classes to take to successfully finish the program and prepare for their future goals both academically and career-oriented. Diane's focus was always on helping UML students that she worked with succeed academically. She did this using various tools and her personal skills, but most importantly by developing a relationship and getting to know the student so that she can understand their strengths and weaknesses and their personal goals. Diane handled enrollment, registration and administrative functions involving approvals and policy as it pertains to her assigned caseload of more than 500 students. Diane worked with leadership team to enhance programs for students and improve business practices. Diane worked as an advisor with lia sophia jewelry to give her the opportunity to earn a full-time income while maintaining the flexibility of a stay-at-home mom. She maintained Manager Status for four years before shifting focus to her career in Higher Education and finally giving up the jewelry business recently. She will always value the life-changing experience that it was and be grateful for the opportunities it availed.

During her tenure with lia sophia, Diane was promoted to Unit Manager and managed a team of over 40 women. She assisted in the development and planning of monthly meetings, trainings and workshops.
