In a quest to improve outcomes for the world's toughest cancer, I have the pleasure to run point for PanCAN's stellar scientific and medical programs, which includes clinical initiatives (like molecular profiling, a patient registry, and clinical trials platforms), patient services (including a call center and educational events), and we also fund the very best research happening in institutions across the US. My current challenge: helping to ensure the valuable data we generate serves its highest purpose. I'm in!

I am delighted to be setting the strategy for the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network's corporate relations program and working with national and local companies to fund life-saving research, to advocate for increased federal attention on pancreatic cancer, to continue to provide hope to patients and family members fighting the disease and to help spread awareness about the disease across the country. One of the best parts of my job is when I see an employee in a company who knew nothing about pancreatic cancer prior to our involvement become a volunteer with a local affiliate and get personally involved in changing the course of history for this most deadly cancer. Pancreatic cancer doesn't have to be a death sentence, and we are working to make that happen for more and more people every day.

I am deepening corporate relationships and establishing cause marketing partnerships to meet the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network's bold goal of doubling the survival rate for pancreatic cancer by 2020. My aunt passed from pancreatic cancer and was taken from our family in a very short time. I am working to change the course of this disease - together we can make a difference!
