My name is D. Denell Gibson, I’m a reliable communications specialist and housing consultant. My experience in marketing and media relations has helped me to successfully secure editorial, product, and media placements within industry specific publications. Previous industry clients include manufacturing, technology, consumer retail, housing, real estate, land use, and community land trusts.In addition to communications, I have experience in political organizing, community and civic engagement. I’m a policy advocate working to create legislative solutions to disparities in housing within the ADOS community, as a result of anti-ADOS discriminatory land use policy and planning practices. As an organizer, I have previously led local advocates in organizing around housing and land use policy in the city and county of Los Angeles; including the facilitation of webinars, civic education and local events. As a Community Advisory Board member, I have assisted in the creation of a resource tools and photographic art project geared towards amplifying and accelerating housing justice.My lived-experience drives my passion to develop data-driven legislative intervention to remedy and reverse anti-ADOS discriminatory policy, and create pathways to economic mobility. As an active member of my community, I am always looking to connect and build relationships with individuals and organizations who share common advocacy goals.
