I am a procedure- and process-oriented attorney with strong legal research and writing skills. In addition to my legal aptitudes, I also possess employee and project management experience and a strong background in information technology. I have more than ten years of litigation experience and more than three years of experience providing counsel and legal support to the Iowa Judicial Branch.Some of my recent career contributions include staffing a task force charged with completely rewriting the state rules of criminal procedure, staffing a task force responsible for creating rules of procedure and court forms implementing recent criminal-rule-expungement legislation, staffing a committee responsible for addressing issues and implementing new processes for the state’s electronic court filing system, and spearheading a months-long project establishing a uniform procedure for the filing of certain kinds exhibits. I have also participated as a speaker in several presentations related to the state court rules and written content for internal and external guides.In addition to these responsibilities, I am also continuously providing the branch with legal editing and research support.
