Deep also serves as a strategic advisor to the University of Wisconsin ECE department, and multiple companies including: TrueRoll, Pictory, Delta Dental, Conversica, DexCare, ToiLabs, and Govstream.At Socrata (now Tyler Technologies), As CTO, Deep helped public sector agencies pipe their data into the cloud, transform it into readily usable forms leveraging data science and ML techniques, and power a new generation of transparency and efficiency applications.As Alliance Health's Chief Data Scientist, Deep helped empower patients by building automatically generated, natural language driven, high quality health information.As Evri CTO, Deep led development efforts for a large scale distributed NLP based semantic content recommendation engine used by multiple first tier media organizations at high transaction volumes.Before Evri, Deep was a Director of Engineering at Insightful (now Tibco). In this role, he led the development efforts for a large scale NLP based text analysis platform and search engine. In the summer of 2007, Deep arranged the multi million dollar sale of InFact, and helped oversee incorporating InFact’s intellectual property, core team and technology into Evri.Prior to Insightful, Deep was a founder and chief scientist at music search and identification company, Cantametrix where he led a team to build the world's first, large scale, fully automated, DSP based music identification and classification system. This technology has evolved into Gracenote's Music Id technology and is employed daily by millions of users in many diverse applications including Apple's iTunes, Yahoo! Music Engine and myriad audio appliances.
