Daren Dhoray is a seasoned technology, business, and academic professional with extensive experience in IT project management, cyber safety awareness, and digital transformation. With a career spanning over two decades, Daren has demonstrated a remarkable ability to leverage technology to solve both business and academic challenges while effectively managing costs and risks.Currently serving as the Enterprise Applications Support Manager at The University of the West Indies (UWI), St. Augustine, Daren leads a team of 17 IT professionals. He oversees all aspects of enterprise applications at the campus, ensuring the seamless integration of technology to enhance the online academic experience for students. His role involves strategic planning, policy development, and fostering relationships with vendors to streamline procurement and problem resolution processes.He has also played a key role in formulating key policies such as the Work-From-Home policy, Staff VPN Policy, and UWI Email Policy Guidelines, demonstrating his expertise in governance and policy development.Beyond his current role, Daren founded The CyberSafeTT Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing free cyber safety education to the citizens of Trinidad and Tobago. Through this initiative, he has conducted numerous educational awareness presentations on topics like cyber safety, cyberbullying, internet addiction, and social media etiquette.
