Queers X Climate (QXC) is an international organization dedicated to unite and support climate and LGBTQ+ activism to develop and implement solutions for our common global climate crisis.History has shown that vulnerable communities are the ones to be in the largest danger of being further marginalized during a crisis, and the group of people who carry the heaviest burden. In the case of climate change, this is arguably the single most dangerous threat ever faced by humanity. All the development accomplishments, including the achievements on LGBTQ+ rights, could be erased within barely a decade by exacerbating resource scarcity and social unrest.Based on this, QXC seeks to be the catalyst toward a larger movement in which LGBTQ+ activists use their power and influence to rally greater climate change awareness and environmental activism; as well as to increase the viability of the contributions that the LGBTQ+ community is doing towards environmental protection.www.queersxclimate.org

In July 2020, I was appointed technical secretary in the ad-hoc team to procure vaccines from the Deputy Ministry for Multilateral Affairs and Human Rights. I established contact with 34 laboratories worldwide, which resulted in six commercial contracts for 191.83 million doses for 110.91 million people (95% of the country's population). I also supported the confirmation of five phase III trials in Mexico for the vaccines developed by Janssen, Walvax, Institute of Medical Biology, CureVac, and CanSino.

In order to strengthen the project, we applied to the micro-grant program of the SDSN, through which we obtained a $ 10,000 grant (http://unsdsn.org/news/2018/05/01/learning-to-localize/). In addition, we support the incorporation of the project as a best practice in the localization of the SDGs in the Cities Alliance compilation, which was presented in the framework of the HLPF 2018 and 2018 ICSD, as well as the addition of the Red Como Vamos in Local2030 network.

• Led the technical development of the Local2030 platform (local2030.org): the SG´s multi-stakeholder incentive to accelerate the implementation of the 2030 agenda at the local level. Primary responsibilities included engaging and following up with the network partner; organizing the launch workshop and HLPF Special Side-Event; social media and website management; as well as gathering and analyzing relevant information and news. A direct result of my engagement was the creation of the local hubs on oceans and migration.• Supported the Secretariat of the SG High-Level Panel to Asses UN-Habitat as a research assistant. After the end of my contract, I continued collaborating in the coordination of Migrantech Challange (https://migrantech.jalisco.mx/en/challenge/migrantech), which was launched during the session of local governments of the preparatory meeting of the Global Compact on Migration in December 2017 in Puerto Vallarta. Also, I collaborated in the drafting of the annual report for the Swedish government, which was submitted in March 2018, as well as in the organization and development of the 2018 Local2030 HLPF side-event.

During my tenure, Jalisco positioned itself as Mexico´s trade, investment, and subnational climate policy leader. My primary responsibilities included: - Administer the office's staff and resources.- Coordinated the reception of all high-level political and economic international delegations (100+ delegations)- Attract and oversee the development of high-level international events within the state (30+ events)- Organized and accompanied the international official trips of the Governor and his staff (30+ trips)- Leverage international cooperation projects, agreements, donations, and funds (obtained more than 2 MD worth of international funds in international aid)- Establish and maintained the international relations of the State Governments with strategic partners (GCF-Task Force, Climate Group, California, Ontario, Quebec, among others)- Develop the international agenda for the State Government of Jalisco in its priority sectors (environment, migration, economic development, science and innovation, metropolitan development, culture, tourism, and social development)- Supervise the international PR and communication of the State Government
