A skilled professional who thrives at the intersection of business and technology. With 10+ years of experience in disruptive industries such as The internet of Things (IoT), Augmented Reality (AR) and the digital thread, I have grown seen all side of product development with roles as an engineer, design strategist and product strategist My Career began with Axeda as an Internet of Things(IoT) engineer working with corporate partners to build connectivity solutions for the Axeda platform. Through multiple team changes and an acquisition, I flowed in and out of engineering focused, partner focused and strategic planning roles. This lead to development of engineering skills into architecture, planning product strategy and eventually into a design strategy role. As a design strategist I get to help define the road map for balancing the Business value(Viability), User experience (Desireability) and technology needs (feasibility) of our products all while validating we are doing it well on our riskiest approaches before our products hit the market.I believe that technology has the capability to do amazing things in this world. it can solve problems in ways we have never considered and bring access to opportunity to more and more people of differing socioeconomic positions. But it can also have negative effects on our society. Driving addiction, enabling sophisticated crime and pushing people out of a workforce they have worked hard to thrive in. It is because of this that a passion for education has emerged. Helping create solution to lower the barrier of entry to higher level jobs is something our society needs to do better so that people in the current workforce don't get left behind.Today I am the principal product strategist for PTCs validation program. I lead research and validation projects across multiple segments in the organization such as IoT, AR, PLM, CAD, ALM, etc and seek to help each continue to remain best in class while finding their synergies for building the digital thread. This involves business and user research combined with technical expertise to strike a balance between what we want to build and what we can build today. I also coach others in effective approaches to validating new and complex topics with the industry and prioritizing research projects across a diverse set of product needs.
