In January 2013, I began managing our installation department. While primarily concerned with installation of all of our enhancements, I am also involved in bidding on special installation and maintenance projects like green roofs, public/urban installations, etc.

Manage Irrigation Division as well as generate sales of new maintenance accounts and special projects (hardscapes, landscape lighting, outdoor kitchens, and water features).

Project/production manager managing crews, maintenance of exterior horticultural maintenance accounts, new terrace and rooftop installations of lighting, landscaping, water features. Heavily involved with MillionTrees NYC as well as NYRP--New York Restoration Project.

As an employee of one of the top 20 great landscape organizations to work for in the US (as awarded by Landscape Management magazine), I manage a $1.2m portfolio of about 55 properties. Responsible for ensuring my properties meet contractual specifications, I often meet with site managers and/or regional managers/directors to maintain our relationship and address any issues which need attention. It is my sole responsibility to meet the needs of my clients as well as generate additional revenue for the company. Dealing with homeowners, property managers, boards of directors, site engineers, and the like, I inspect all properties to ensure timely, quality service. I regularly meet with clients to discuss and address matters ranging from quality of service to annual budgets to new business, how our company is performing, how we can improve our footprint in our region and in our industry, and how we can become a more valuable service provider to our clients.

As Mid-South Property Manager, I lived in New Orleans was solely responsible for managing all of our properties in Louisiana, Arkansas, metro-Memphis, Mississippi, Alabama, and the Florida panhandle. As New England Property Manager, I lived in New York City and was solely responsible for managing all of our properties in Manhattan, Staten Island, Long Island, northern New Jersey, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine. My responsibilities were the similar in both regions, and I monthly visited every property and had routine meetings with store managers, area and regional managers, VIPs, and contractors from the lawn, landscaping, irrigation, asphalt, and snow plowing industries. It was my sole responsibility to manage companies that maintain the sites of our national commercial clients. It was my decision as to which contractors work for us, and it was my decision as to if and when we replace those contractors.

As a small business owner, most of my work dealt with design, installation, and maintenance of irrigation systems. I also offered services such as landscaping renovation, drainage, and low-voltage lighting installation and maintenance.

Being an employee of a smaller company, my day-to-day activities often varied significantly. I was often involved in scheduling, accounts payable and receivable, new and existing client meetings, customer service issues, and installation and maintenance of landscaping, irrigation, drainage, and low-voltage lighting projects.
