Situation:• Philips made the executive decision to centralize distribution for customers in Central Europe to Acht (nearby Eindhoven). • First ½ year was full-time in Hamburg to work with the Project Manager and local IT team on the development and implementation. Responsible for:• WMS knowledge transfer from Germany to Holland. The Dutch warehouse will transition from a local Warehouse to a European Warehouse. The development team is based in Hamburg.• Support during the migration phase.• Implementing 1st line support in Acht.• Post go-live support.

Situation:• To support the production growth new systems were required to handle the inbound flow of the Direct Materials, shop floor control and outbound flow of the Finishing Goods.• The new systems provide better track & tracing, just in time delivery and increased customers satisfaction.• Philip Morris initially selected a system from a vendor but changed their plan because of the gaps between requirements and supported functionality. Therefore they decided to develop their own systems.Responsible for:• Technical Design Phase for the implementation of a new DMW (Direct Material Warehouse) and FGW (Finish Goods Warehouse) systems.• Implementation and planning of the new DMW and FGW systems.• Leading the development and support team.• Quality of the deliverables.• IT Team (5 FTE’s).

Situation:• In 1988 the Operations Information System (OIS) has been developed for a new Flexible Compounding Plant to produce plastics. Sub-systems of OIS are: Production Control System, Warehouse Control System, Filling and Packaging Control System, Statistic Control System and Management Information System.• This period covers support, maintenance, enhancements and development of SPC and Container Management System.Responsible for:• Analyses, design, coding and testing of the Operations Information System and sub-system (Plastic Production, Packaging).• Leading the support team.

Situation:• Unilever is using a Dissolver / Sampler device for washing powder. A robot takes samples, a barcode reader scans the label and a measurement device analyses the powder (weight and content characteristics). • Software has been developed to control all devices and to store the data into a database.• I was hired to resolve a number of issues (interrupts errors AB Interface) and to implement enhancements.Responsible for:• Analyses, design, coding and testing of a Dissolver Sampler system

Delft Area, Netherlands

Situation:• Delft Hydraulics has a physical model (Dutch Delta area ‘Rijnmond”) on a scale to simulate Tides under different conditions (astronomical tide and weather). Software and devices are used to calculate and simulate the Tides using Mathematics Models and data stored in a Data Warehouse. • The physical model is used to determine the impact in case of physical changes and on extreme conditions. Furthermore it is used to improve Mathematics Hydraulic Models.• Delft Hydraulics is looking for cheaper solutions to run software on PC’s instead using expensive mainframes or super computers.Responsible for:• Implementation of Interfaces between Mathematics Hydraulic Model and Data Warehouse. • Analyses, design, coding, implementation, testing of Hydraulic Tide System (controls water pumps for Tide movements).
