Following military duty and college worked in the construction field as a project manager. Shortly thereafter, went into sales with a distributor of Marvin Windows selling to the home owners and contractor base. After my success with the distributor, I was asked to join Marvin Windows at the factory level as an architectural representative covering the Southeast. As an architectural representative, this gave me an opportunity to work with the owners of the distributors and dealer base to develop programs for their sales force. The programs we built developed relationships with the architects and in doing so, getting Marvin Windows specified in upcoming projects.After gaining valuable knowledge about business, I decided to venture into my own business concept specializing in coffee and wine. Researched and developed five stores in the Cincinnati area. Built a “team” to concentrate on customer service and was recognized by the “locals” and food critics as their favorite coffee and wine bar. Sold the business after 16 years and moved to California to be closer to family.At present Dave Dyssegard is an agent with Surterre Properties®, a top luxury residential real estate brokerage known for its teamwork and integrity.
