This is my own company, aimed at bringing personal training and life coaching to marginalised populations. Using my experience in both the leisure and fitness industry along with my experience with special needs communities, I want to help those who seek value, direction and purpose in life through the means of exercise, nutrition and mindfulness. This support could come at any level from regular checkins to full exercise prescriptions and meal preparation depending on ability and need.I have been involved with volunteer programs in the NHS, working with individuals on Gastric Bypass shortlists to try and implement lifestyle change.

Camp Allen is a residential (overnight) summer camp for individuals with special needs, we employ around 55 camp counselors to work 1-1 with our campers and we also employ a number of support staff, working in the kitchen/maintenance/activity programming and waterfront activity coordinators. As assistant Director, I had a number of responsibilities however the unpredictability of the day meant I could have to fill in any role at any time to ensure that operations continued. Responsibilities included but were not limited to; Preliminarily remotley working from my home in the UK, recruiting staff over various platforms from multiple countries, then interviewing, hiring based on culture and values resonating with our culture and mission as an organisation, developing and delivering intensive training programs for around 65 individuals and liaising with local training officers with in the community to deliver a cultural exchange for foreign employees.While the season was active I lived full-time on site, oversaw day to day operations and evaluated staff to make improvements while liaising with the executive director. I oversaw the food service on site, ensuring all health and safety protocol was adhered to and developing menus to suit a variety of needs (allergies/religious dietary restrictions/additional needs swallowing disorders etc). During my time I also coordinated a work experience program designed to aid the special needs community undertake paid employment and develop skills in hopes to break down barriers in the labour market and achieve fully paid work in the community. I managed large budgets for Cleaning and Maintenance as well as food service and liaise with company representatives and local health departments to ensure all of our needs were met. Whilst supporting staff in day to day activities I also regularly stepped in to ensure extreme behavioural challenges were de-escalated and supported staff who may have needed additional help and motivation.

Overseeing the poolside/lakeside activities during the day and assisting with the support of the individuals at Camp Allen. My Main roles were to ensure the safety of the campers and staff and regularly test/clean the pool. Developing rules and an activity structure to comply with health and safety laws and that would allow our population to still enjoy all aspects of the waterfront. I was also part of planning and orchestrating an annual field trip to a local beach so the individuals could experience the sea, often the only chance they get to do so.In my time away from the pool i would aid in whichever department needed additional help such as preparing the evening meal, helping run activities or aid in personal care.

Working over 3 Leisure centres and one dry sports centre in the greater Manchester area. Stepping in due to long term sickness or staffing issues to ensure operations ran smoothly.Responsibilities included filling open shifts throughout the various positions in the centre, to carry out health and safety management (opening and closing procedures, pool plant operations, equipment & facility audits) in each centre, handle banking and drive sales liaising with general cluster manager to communicate issues and keep to weekly and monthly KPI’s. Responsible for the on site customer experience and keeping our team motivated to reflect our mission statement and organisations values.

Working across 3 Buildings as a fitness instructor, delivering exercise classes and consulting with members to provide them with knowledge and support them during their work out. I carried out safety checks and maintained equipment. I also developed programming to attract new members and improve sales targets working with centre mangers to promote the the facilities through outreach initiatives.
