Dea is a fourth-year honors student at St. John's University pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Journalism. In her final year before she obtains her undergraduate degree, Dea is interning at NBC News Group at Shop TODAY. This is her second academic year-long internship at NBC. From September 2023 through April 2024, Dea interned for NBC News Group as an editorial intern at The Today Show. In April 2022, Dea joined The Torch, St. John's University's student-run newspaper. She served as news editor for one year before being elected the editor-in-chief in April 2023; a position she held through April 2024.After graduating from St. John's, Dea will move on to pursue a Master of Science in Public Relations and Strategic Communication at the University of Stirling.
