Keadby Power Station

• Working as the Asset Maintenance Lead and supporting the expansion work at Keadby 1 and Keadby 2 Power Stations. My key responsibilities include:-
• Supervising a multi-disciplined team of Maintenance Engineers, Planners and Technicians.
• The organisation and delivery of day to day proactive and reactive maintenance of station plant and apparatus, including resource planning, budgeting and personnel / contractor management.
• Providing a comprehensive, professional maintenance engineering service for all station equipment. Ensuring that the safety, reliability, flexibility and efficiency of the plant and equipment is maintained to meet the.
• Managing short term outages inclusive of programme development and resource planning.
• Actively contributing to the continuous improvement of SHE performance at Keadby.

Dimlington Gas Terminal

• Working as the Maintenance Team Leader, managing and supervising a large multi-disciplined team of technicians at a top tier COMAH site. My main responsibilities include:-
• Leading a large diverse team of multi discipline technicians to maintain the integrity and safety of the terminal, minimising outages and maximising plant availability /reliability.
• Pro-actively using the maintenance management system (Maximo) for reliability centered maintenance, managing deferrals and achieving the terminal KPI’s.
• Ensuring that the team delivers the expected standards of safety and work control whilst site procedures are adhered to.
• Demonstrating safety leadership to all members of staff and ensuring that relevant safety policies are followed.
• Acting as a coach and mentor to develop a high performing team, carrying out performance reviews and working on development plans.

Dimlington Gas Terminal

• Working as a Shift Instrument Technician providing support and maintaining a vast range of equipment associated with the processing of hydrocarbons and supporting utilities. My main responsibilites include:-
• Preventive and reactive maintenance on safety instrumented systems (SIS) including safety critical equipment (SCE).
• Extensive Cause and Effect testing ensuring that 100% of site trip functions are tested over a 4 year period.
• Leading a multi-disciplined team, standing in for the maintenance team leader with full responsibility and delegation of the role.
• Fault finding and Instrument calibrations on centrifugal gas compressors and power turbines (RB211's).
• Creating, completing and following up work orders using the MAXIMO system.

Offshore - SNS

• Working as an Offshore Instrument Technician providing field support for various installations in the southern north sea including manned platforms and normally unmanned installations (NUI's). My main responsibilites.
• Performing planned preventative maintenance across all instrument systems on various SNS assets, ensuring all work is completed in compliance and conformance to company procedures.
• Ensuring fire & gas detection / ESD systems are maintained for maximum reliability and availability.
• Maintaining safety critical equipment (SCE) in accordance with company procedures and regulations.
• Performing corrective/reactive maintenance and diagnostic activities to rectify long and short term instrumentation faults on continuous process control systems.
• Creating, completing and following up work orders using the MAXIMO system.

Grimsby

• Working as an Instrument Technician at Novartis (Top tier COMAH site), alongside a multi-disciplined engineering team. My main responsibilities included:-
• Maintaining, overhauling and repairing plant equipment in accordance with company procedures, practices and engineering standards.
• Diagnosing instrumentation faults, often on live equipment, and rectifying them using my own initiative on batch control systems.
• Responding to plant breakdowns and co-ordinating with the production team to minimise downtime and increase overall equipment effectiveness and availability.
• Performing online SIS trip/interlock tests on assets in accordance with SIL safety requirements.
• Performing visual, close and detailed ATEX inspections on hazardous area equipment in accordance with IEC Standards 60079.
