-Provide hundreds of in-person, confidential advocacy services to recent victims of sexual assault of all ages during forensic nurse exams and act as an advocate when reporting to law enforcement to ensure a survivor’s needs and wants are being met-Discuss difficult calls with crisis helpline volunteers and provide emergency assistance when necessary

-Provide crisis counseling for 24-36 hours per month over the phone to support survivors of sexual assault, dating violence, and interpersonal trauma-Use active listening, grounding, and support techniques to facilitate client processingIncorporate meditation, breathing techniques, and grounding exercises as requested -Frequently engaged in experiential training with new volunteers by giving them an opportunity to shadow my calls, supervising their first calls and debriefing afterward, and giving feedback on areas of skill and improvement

Lab focus – Understanding the unique risks for psychopathology conferred by exposure to early-life assaultive violence with computational, behavioral, and statistical analysis of structural and functional connectivity data. -Training in cortical thickness and gray matter volume neuroimaging analysis using FreeSurfer-Practice with clinical assessments and understanding of PTSD, anxiety, and depressive disorders-Training in research design and development of an independent thesis project

-Lead weekly group sessions of up to 20 students and organized weekly study groups for intro chemistry courses-Coordinate with facilitators, professors, and members of the executive board to ensure groups run smoothly and the service is effective
