About Dean Aguillen

Named one of the 100 Most Influential Hispanics in the United States by Hispanic Business Magazine, Dean Aguillen is currently a Principal at Ogilvy Government Relations where he specializes in developing and executing government relations’ campaigns for top U.S. corporations including H-E-B Grocery Company, Facebook, NASCAR, Verizon, AMGEN, the Recording Industry Association of America and more.Personable, energetic, positive and deeply connected, Dean has successfully lobbied many high-profile issues such as tax extenders, tech policy and transportation. He has also built and fostered relationships that extend across the highest levels of business and government, including strong connections with lawmakers, their office and key committee staff as well as the Congressional Hispanic Caucus and other Member organizations in the House and Senate. Prior to joining Ogilvy, Dean was Director of Member Services and Senior Advisor for House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. He has served as an advisor to numerous candidates and campaigns and held several roles on the legislative staffs of other Members of Congress. During the Clinton Administration he was Chief of Staff to the Assistant Secretary for the Office of Congressional and Intergovernmental Affairs in the U.S. Department of Labor and he was appointed to the DNC’s Rules Committee in 2016 and the DNC Credential Committee in 2008. President Obama also appointed him to the board of the DC Selective Service System. Deeply passionate about diversity and inclusion, Dean drives these efforts inside his firm and is a dedicated mentor who spends considerable time helping Latinos advance in their careers in government, politics and policy. A founding member of the Hispanic Lobbyist Association; he was honored to receive its inaugural Avanza Award for his promotion of Hispanics in American politics. He served or continues to serve on the boards of the Hispanic Federation, the Latino Victory Fund, the Hispanic Advisory Counsel for the March of Dimes and the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute. A native Texan, Dean is a father of two who spends most of his free time playing and watching sports, especially when his youngest son is participating. His love of the Spurs and Texas teams is legendary, but he’s also a devoted Nats fan who has proudly been a season ticket holder since the team’s first year in Washington.
