Shadowing a solicitor, learning some of the basics of law. . Demonstrating some of my understanding of law and the profession of a solicitor by creating a ‘Brief to Counsel’, analysing cases, giving my own opinions on them, and contributing to the general functioning of the firm, where possible. . I learnt how to create a Brief to Counsel, and learnt the general practices of a solicitor’s office. . I also helped with certain organisational tasks including filing. . The team work aspect of the job was engaging for me.
