Built the machine shop from a startup for the R&D/Prototype department. Assigned work to a small team of machine operators. Implemented modular concepts and work holding technics while raising the bar in the development of the current machinists. Worked with engineers of many different disciplines and was the DFM (Design for Manufacturing) focal. Suggestions to the facilities manager for enhancing a safe environment. This was a unique situation with servicing internal walk-ins with needs to modify any type of part, rework on an as needed basis from outside vendors, along with the current builds occurring. Implemented Catia V6 (3d experience) as well as Enovia. Inspected work for internal quality. Utilized the JIRA system for an internal ERP system. Implemented 5S concepts and had ownership of the KPI board.

Manage the activities and staff in an aerospace manufacturing environment engaged in product development, design, manufacturing, process definition/improvement and or related technical support functions. Identify and allocate manpower and resources to assure completion of established objectives within budgetary and schedule guidelines while upholding high technical standards. Assist co-managers in identifying and initiating technical projects and programs which lead to improved processes and products, reduced costs or increased output.
