I’m Dean, an enthusiastic sports fan, football coach, dad to one human and four dogs. I am the Chief Sustainability Officer at Worket, we’re a UK based Talent Consultancy company that builds inclusive brands, develops employee value propositions, and showcases companies that people really want to work for.I worked in the Finance sector for many years, then took some time out to look after my daughter, in the much-coveted stay at home dad role. When she started school the thought of going back to the 9 to 5 filled me with dread, so I started a dog walking business.For the last few years, I have been blissfully happy walking mostly well-behaved dogs come rain, hail or shine. Then tragedy struck, I had to take early retirement due to a shoulder injury and here I am, working for a business that I genuinely believe in, and I’m not just saying that because I am married to the founder.Would I prefer to be walking dogs? Yes, of course, it is the career that dreams are made of, but it was high time I started using my qualifications in commerce and business, combined with my passion for sustainable working practices and environmental impact, so here we are.I am tasked with developing and implementing sustainability strategies in keeping with our company goals and objectives.
