Vehicles Test Team LeadThales Jul 2009 - Nov 2018London, United KingdomResponsible for carrying out Static and Dynamic Post Installation Check Out (PICO) tests. I have been the lead vehicle tester on numerous occasions and have been used as an accountable person for the night shift, liaising with both Tube Lines and Alstom (the rolling stock manufacture). I have been responsible for the implementation of software upgrades on the Jubilee and Northern Lines and I have also gained a good understanding of the SelTrac® system whilst carrying out ML3 and ML4 testing and assisting with Data Communications test cases. My role as the Vehicles Test Team Lead. I was responsible for the informal/formal testing of the Vehicle systems and their integration into the overall Train Control System. I was responsible for the commissioning of individual rolling stock units. I have developed and implemented pragmatic test and commissioning strategies, investigated test failures and proposed technical solutions. I was responsible for leading a large team of testers where I managed performance and competency of my assigned staff. The entire Northern Line fleet of 106 trains was signed off for revenue service under my management. When managing up to eighteen apprentices I was responsible for course selection, career development, mentoring, providing workplace experience and liaising with the college on a regular basis to ensure the college was meeting the requirements of the business and to maintain a close working relationship with them. Whilst working on the 4LM re-signalling project I conducted various roles. The most notable included fault rectification, training assistance and modifying of the Second Line Maintenance Devices to meet customer expectations. I had to ensure that from a project perspective that this deliverable was met ahead of the attempted “go live” of the first migration area.

Production ManagerAlstom Transport Oct 1996 - Jun 2009London, United KingdomI joined Alstom in October 1997 as a Maintenance Technician Level 4, at this time the Jubilee Line ’96 Fleet was being commissioned, and I was heavily involved in the identification and rectification of many of the initial build faults and the subsequent commissioning of the rolling stock. In recognition of my work, I was promoted to Maintenance Technician Level 3 and soon after, Level 2 and then onto Level 1. As a Maintenance Technician Level 1 my role was to repair service failures suffered by the fleet and to identify trends and possible weaknesses with current design with a view to improving the reliability of the stock and subsequent roll out across the fleet. As a Technician I have acquired numerous skills, abilities, and experience during my time with Alstom and am competent in the use of many fault-finding methods using various different instruments (e.g. scope & multimeters, Time Domain Reflectometers, Capacitance meters etc). Train borne systems that I am familiar with include Train Management System (TMS), AV Communications, Heat & Vent, Traction, Automatic Train Operation (ATO) and TBTC systems. As a Production Manager I was responsible for all elements of the Jubilee Line service delivery on a nightly basis. This included management of staff working across three sites, production planning and work allocation, Health and Safety, liaison with technical leaders and/or engineering regarding train faults, Continuous Improvement, Auditing, and for allocation of the daily train service including deciding whether the train meets the minimum allowable condition set out by LUL.My role as a Production Manager has allowed me to develop my team and time management skills and helped me to develop others.
