As an experienced high school teacher, instructional designer, and academic technologist, Dean brings over a decade of classroom teaching expertise and a commitment to advancing learning through technology. Currently a PhD student at the University of Virginia, he conducts scholarship on how teaching and learning occur best, especially in technology-mediated environments.Dean’s professional experience includes pioneering innovative video content creation technology, leading research-based professional development training sessions on instructional applications of video, and evaluating online course designs as a Quality Matters reviewer.
