Testing daily on this instrument to ensure that REACH manufactured consumables meet with current on market… Show more Working as part of Abbott Diagnostic Research group known as REACH. The goal of the project is to reduce the use of hazardous chemicals called ‘Substances of High Concern’ (SVHC) at manufacturing sites in the EU and in products and packaging sold in the EU. As the role of Associate Technical Support Scientist i work on one of Abbott new blood screening devices known as the Alinity S. Testing daily on this instrument to ensure that REACH manufactured consumables meet with current on market standards. Results are then correlated and presented to management. As well as this i liaise with statisticians from other ADD sites that interpret the data further and report back with there findings. Then should any investigations be required i would be responsible in carrying this out. I have also been involved in the ordering of material used as part of the project. This requires setting up meetings with members of staff from Quality and Validations to discuss whether the products being ordered meet with the sites standards and that they will not effect any validation or quality processes within the business.
