An experienced music therapist in child and adult mental health, lecturer and choral director. Dean began his music career as conductor at the National Opera Theatre in Osijek, Croatia, where he also composed for the community music project for children affected by war trauma, Children Together 2006-2008. Dean trained as a music therapist on the Master’s programme at Nordoff Robbins, City University London and has since worked with people of all ages and conditions including those with neurological impairments, mental health conditions and emotional behavioural disorders. Dean lectures at conferences and is a leader on the Nordoff Robbins Introductory Course. Dean is also an accomplished musician and has composed for short films, choirs and performs as a solo jazz pianist around London.
