Prior to this position I worked for Weill Cornell. Before that, I was the Director of Project Management & Systems Analysis at Health Republic Insurance of New York for about 20 months, at which time their funding was discontinued. Before that I was the primary IT project manager/business analyst/relationship manager for the HMO division of the Visiting Nurse Service of NY for almost 8 years. .I have held positions as VP of Application Development for CBS and International Creative Management, and CIO of CBS/Fox Video and Charmer Industries; and am a CSM. I have evolved from a mainframe guru to a client-server expert to the position of President and head of development for a company that built Web applications and sites -- our main focus was e-commerce and database-driven custom content management -- for Fortune 1000 organizations such as the US Tennis Association, Hachette Filipacchi Magazines, Fleer, Hall of Sports, and MTV. I have a BA in Psychology/Philosophy from SUNY/Stony Brook (which serves me well in my requirements gathering and human interactions), and an MA in Systems Analysis from Columbia University. I have also written over 2 dozen professional articles, two of them on Best Practices in Project Management and two on HIPAA Records Management, and four on Electronic Records/Content Management..I am a get-it-done rather than a let’s-talk-about-getting it done person.
