I am the majority shareholder and Managing Director of Laserite Ltd; a privately owned UK company formed in 1995 that specialises in the design, manufacture, configuration, installation, application and servicing of laser cutting and marking technology in the following formats:10.6µm CO2 DC and RF - 30w-600w plotter and galvo beam delivery1µm Fiber Q-switched and MOPA - 20w-100w galvo beam delivery355nm UV 5w-15w galvo beam deliveryAssociated custom handling automation and software solutionsDuring the early years I was responsible for establishing Universal Laser Systems and then Trotec Laser in the UK, both from start-up, and for 16 years we had significant mutual success.In 2004 I created the Lotus Laser Systems brand and shortly thereafter invested significantly in our own manufacturing facility in Wuhan, China as well as an assembly/support/sales facility in Basildon, Essex UK.In 2012 my father, who was also my business mentor and business partner, died unexpectedly, which had a profound change on my business and life planning In 2014 I closed our Wuhan factory and moved all assembly to the UK. I retain an office in Wuhan for QC and component sourcing. At the same time I decided to embark upon a different strategy; one of rapid and significant growth based on establishing Lotus as a manufacturing/supply company on a global basis. In 2017 we doubled the unit sales volume of Lotus Laser Systems on 2016. In subsequent years the rate of growth follows this trend.As my record shows I am somewhat of a pioneer and have a talent for spotting new opportunities where others may not. I have also shown an ability to take calculated risks and succeed with projects where many of my contemporaries fear to tread. I pride myself on my "can do" attitude and in particular my problem solving abilities. Often my team and I deliver results where others, even very large companies, have failed.If you have a problem with regard to a laser cutting or marking application then it's highly likely that I could be a part of your solution.
