I am a scientific and people leader with extensive experience of pharmaceutical development from discovery through to commercial supply with an expertise in Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) delivery.I have experience in directing the technical delivery and decision making on a portfolio of API development projects across all phases of development, agreeing strategy, developing risk mitigation plans and prioritising activities to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery of manufacturing processes and supplies. I am an expert at defining API regulatory strategies and providing robust regulatory filings at all phases of development (Phase I through to NDA/MAA) with particular expertise in the application of “Quality by Design” (QbD) principles to API development, manufacturing and regulatory submissions.I have a proven track record of building highly competent, empowered high performance teams and delivering business improvement through effective change management. A clear and innovative thinker who seeks to identify and apply best practice in all areas of his work.I have established a global Strategic Workforce Planning process across technical line functions, identified key skills and introduced recruitment or upskilling strategies to ensure delivery of the capabilities required to support the future project portfolio and deliver the global API Chemistry strategy and have delivered numerous other business improvement programs through the implementation of robust change management and project management.
