Being the key contact for all insights on electrical products within Sainsbury’s and Argos, business partnering the Trading Director and their leadership team. Proactively working with these stakeholders and others around the business to understand their needs and key strategic priorities and how insights can best support them. Key achievements include:• Using internal transaction and customer data, qualitative and quantitative research and market data to produce actionable insights through excellent storytelling. • Led and produced key event post-implementation reviews including for Christmas and Black Friday. Packs were presented company-wide with superb feedback obtained from Sainsbury’s Operating Board. • Developed reporting for Sainsbury’s General Merchandise (Non-Food) strategy with a focus on assortment, availability, always-on and affordability.

Provide insights and analytics on all Argos Financial Services (AFS) products from Argos Card to Argos Care, to help inform management and drive current and new strategic opportunities. Work with a variety of teams within the business to help drive portfolio understanding, to maximise customer value and optimise costs.• Day to day management of two Senior Commercial Analyst whilst assisting with the development and mentoring of a further two. Ensuring the team are focused on key priorities, developing their technical and soft skills and leading by example.• Monitoring changes in customer behaviour and performance after developing a variety of MI. Reporting used across the business which was particularly significant during COVID-19.• Optimising AFS’s pricing strategy including the creation of a price elasticity model for the Argos warranties business.

• Line management of a Junior Commercial Analyst and drove their personal development. • Providing significant support in the implementation of a risk-based pricing strategy on new and existing Argos Storecard customers. Project role included highlighting eligible customers, forecasting and reporting key KPI’s and profitability to enable senior stakeholders to make informed business decisions. • Developed Argos Care reporting to enable previously unseen transaction level analysis, providing management with key insights on new strategic propositions and identifying areas of opportunity. Demonstrated strong stakeholder management by prioritising frequent ad-hoc requests. • Led the creation of a customer value reporting pack; a new suite of reporting to provide analysis of key MI on the performance of Argos Storecard customers. Present portfolio insights to various senior stakeholders monthly.• Key analyst within the project team resolving a major incident following regulatory changes on how AFS charge interest. Successfully liaised with third parties within a severe time pressured environment to provide accurate analysis with progress being updated to Sainsbury’s Bank Board.

• Provided analysis on multiple aspects on Argos customer’s lifecycle from application, purchasing and payments history through to interest, provisioning and debt sale.• Created the FY20 Argos Care sales budget allowing for more accurate forecasting. • Developed a customer segmentation model based on customer’s history and behaviour.• Was an early adopter of Power BI sharing my knowledge around the business.

• Created web-based financial dashboards showing the division’s current and month-end financial position and forecast customer profitability.• Redesigned and rewrote web-based reporting showing Desktop, Laptop and Server availability for multiple Computacenter customers.• Produced monthly I.T Security reports for Royal Mail Group, Post Office, Rolls Royce and Computacenter.
