My involvment with Cion Corp has primarily focused on restoration, repair and upgrade of existing buildings. Within the positions I have held, I have performed the following tasks:Architectural Designer (Technical)- Review existing building and site conditions- Generate technical drawing packages for submission, ranging from initial concept through to Issued for Construction (IFC)- Coordinate with other project consultants to ensure alignment of submissions.- Ensure designs are compliant with provincial and federal regulations, such as building codes and accessibile design regulations.- Review, collate and modify construction specification packages to meet project requirements.Project Coordinator- Liaise with clients and project stakeholders to ensure that all project requirements are being addressed.- Attend project coordination meetings- Coordinate with Project managers to address project Contract Administration (CA) requirements.

Within this position, my role was primary involved in utilizing BIM software to generate design, permit, tender and construction drawing sets. This also involved coordination with other project consultants and stakeholders.

My work with Vandenberg & Wildeboer Architects lead me to be involved in both commercial and residential projects. My responsibilities in this position included:- Generating working drawings using AutoCAD software- Modelling buildings and generating working drawings in Revit Architecture- Modelling designs in 3D using Google Sketchup software- Liaising with clients, consultants and stakeholders to disseminate project information on behalf of the firm- Participating in project & construction coordination meetings- Collaborating with team members on project matters- Proposing construction details to the technical and design team- Performing on-site as-found measurements- Performing construction site inspections- Working with planners, consultants and city officials to overcome deficiencies noted during plans examination - Working to problem solve unforeseen conditions during construction with the General Contractor- Coordinate projects for the firm, including the coordination between all relevant parties and the construction site- Reviewing and noting project submittals during the construction phase.- Generating Addenda, Contemplated Change Orders, Change Orders, Site Instructions and various other documents during the tendering and construction process
