As CTO at JangoMail I spearheaded initiatives to simultaneously improve the quality of service, email delivery and cost structure. Deep server monitoring was implemented in order to directly track and improve server uptime; agile practices brought into the development team to tighten up product delivery cycles and lower defect rates; more partnerships established to decrease unit cost for infrastructure and increase positive email delivery rate. All of these things translated to a leaner, more efficient technical team.

JangoMail is a custom built, web-based email sending platform. I was responsible for maintaining 100+ servers and keeping the application running smoothly at all times. MS SQL Server administration and development was a core component of the job as was Windows server administration. I worked closely with the development team on resolving any issues with the software, and at times developed fixes or one-off apps in C#.

IT Firm supporting small businesses in Austin with monthly maintenance and consulting for their IT needs. I supported Microsoft Server 2000, 2003 and 2008, Exchange Server 2000, 2003 and 2007, SQL Server 2000 and 2005, and all manner of other desktop and server software. I also assisted with technical sales and consulting as well as project implementation.
