As CTO at JangoMail I spearheaded initiatives to simultaneously improve the quality of service, email delivery and cost structure. Deep server monitoring was implemented in order to directly track and improve server uptime; agile practices brought into the development team to tighten up product delivery cycles and lower defect rates; more partnerships established to decrease unit cost for infrastructure and increase positive email delivery rate. All of these things translated to a leaner, more efficient technical team.

JangoMail is a custom built, web-based email sending platform. I was responsible for maintaining 100+ servers and keeping the application running smoothly at all times. MS SQL Server administration and development was a core component of the job as was Windows server administration. I worked closely with the development team on resolving any issues with the software, and at times developed fixes or one-off apps in C#.
