Production Operator / Control Room Operator on the Forties Alpha Platform in the North Sea. I monitor and operate installation process and utilities equipment in line with operating procedures, ensuring continuous safe operation of all equipment by onsite monitoring of process and operating conditions. I take an active role in safety improvement to ensure personal safety, the safety of others on the installation and regularly show leadership in conducting ASAs, STOP audits and other safety audits.

Southern North Sea

Core crew CRO / Production Operator on the ConocoPhillips Viking Bravo Gas Platform, I acted as a Control Room Operator as well as Outside Operator, controlling, operating and adjusting productions facilities. My duties included:Controlling the platform process in an efficient and compliant manner in line with operating procedures.Working with industry recognised technology for operating, monitoring & controlling production, fire and gas panel and safety critical equipment.Safely and efficiently starting up and shutting down wells per Well Operating Guidelines.Day to day resolution of production problems, identifying and rectifying specific issues with processes and taking corrective action to ensure safe and continuous production.Supervision of offshore staff, issuing accurate work instructions complying with company procedures.PTW Issuer, issuing and holding toolbox talksWriting / Reviewing risk assessments and job step plans on a regular basis. Gathering, recording, controlling, auditing and analysing data and documentation including Controlling the isolation procedure as per HSG 253, interpreting P&ID’s for isolation methods and implementation. Actively involved in pre and post shutdown organisation.Maintaining excellent communication with the Section Leader, Team Leader, OIM and other departments

Lindsey Oil Refinery, Immingham

Shift Operator on Stage 1 Unifiner/Platformer, Hydrogen Desulphurisation Unit , Crude Distillation Unit , LPG, Merox and Sour Water Units.Assistant Shift Supervisor position which included operating the control panel for the above units.Shift Operator on Stage 2 Unifiner/Platformer, HDS Unit and Kero Hydro Treating Unit, Sulphur Recovery Unit and covered the Assistant Supervisor position for this area. Job role activities included: isolation of equipment; venting; purging; draining; flushing; monitoring temperatures, level, pressure and flow; management and control of contract personnel and various work groups; gas testing; confined space work; electrical isolations; PTW management; safe start up and shutdown of refinery in line with HSE guidelines; competency training; environmental management, Condition monitoring and adjusting to meet production specifications Supervise and motivate outside operators,actively involved with Competency Assurance Project.
