Dean Hoddle has been the Executive Chef at Silverstone for the past five years, heading up all onsite catering for race days – such as the British Grand Prix – retail and MICE bookings. Under Dean’s management, Silverstone has partnered with some of Northamptonshire’s best artisan producers, using local, quality produce in much of the venue’s dishes. For example, Hamm Tun the award-winning cheese has worked closely with Dean to produce a cheese exclusive to Silverstone Circuit.Dean champions local produce and culinary education wherever he can.Silverstone is also partnered with Northampton College to invest in local, upcoming chefs. The initiative, brought in by Dean and Ian Schofield, offers young talented chefs the opportunity to work at Silverstone following successful work experiences at the venue and is looking at expanding the project further this year to reach other colleges and potentially start up an apprenticeship stream. Previous to Silverstone, Dean was a freelance chef for more than six years, working at some of Britain’s most iconic events and venues. Some examples of Dean’s previous experience include; Ryder Cup; Lords retail village,Silver Sturgeon luxury yacht ; Rolling stones 50th anniversary; Viking exhibition at The Natural History Museum; and various car launches, award ceremonies and sporting venue events. Dean has also worked in iconic venues such as V&A museum, Cutty Sark, 1 Mayfair, 1 Marylebone and The Natural History Museum. Dean isn’t shy of making an appearance in the public eye, recently competing in The British Bake Off: The Professionals, and guest speaking on local radio to help educate local listeners on the importance of nutritional food.Dean is skilled in catering for all food types, allergies and cultural requirements.
