A majority of the… Show more I am currently employed as a Chemical and Biological characterization analyst at Intertek Pharmaceutical Services Manchester. The particular role is very fast paced and incredibly varied, but requires extreme attention to detail and care to be able to deliver projects right first time.I have gained many indispensable skills from my time here such as impeccable GDP (Good Documentation Practice) along with the experience of carrying out studies under GMP/GLP/GCP. A majority of the work I carry out involves using HPLC-MS to either characterize or quantify samples which can ranges from small molecules and polymers to antibodies and large proteins. This includes method development and method validation and transfer of these techniques. Each of these categories have there own problems to overcome such as matrix effects, quantities of sample, how to isolate the analyte and more. I have also had the chance to work on cell based assays, ELISAs and other aspects of biochemistry during my time here. As a result of this I have come to develop excellent problems solving skills and perception with a wide range of instrumentation and analyses. My experience in checking the data integrity and compliance of work within the laboratory, along with knowledge of how to write and prepare SOP, test methods and study plans.is growing daily as the role evolves.I have experience preparing validation documents operating in conjunction with an internal QA department along with other aspects such as method or plan deviations, laboratory investigations when analyses don't go as planed as well as project management, consultancy and training.
