I created, and was head of, the 'REX Editorial' department of Rex by Shutterstock, as it was known.When Shutterstock acquired Rex Features to help facilitate their entry into the editorial market, I ensured my department produced high-quality editorial content that appeared front page on the World's leading news portals with the Shutterstock credit. From the early days of the acquisition, we ensured the Shutterstock name was already being seen in an editorial context.It was my role to provide direction and story leads for the department, as well as personally source a prolific level of marketable content to ensure Rex/Shutterstock produced a high-quality stream of material for international publications and media.My role saw me as a manager, NCTJ-trained journalist and picture editor who sourced, wrote, picture edited and distributed original picture-led stories/content to national newspapers and publications around the world.

As an NCTJ-trained journalist I wrote general interest, travel, and showbiz editorial for syndication for Rex Features press agency.I organised the photographer’s diary with the Diary Editor (and provided holiday cover).
