• Manager for Back-office Software Development team (Backdev). We were responsible for technology used by internal customers and job feeds from external partners.• In this role I worked closely with our QA team, helping them with our automated unit tests, interfacing with them when testing new or changed features, and coordinating with them when they discovered issues.

• Lead for remote development team developing an API around existing applications in partnership with a key corporate partner. This API provided a CRUD interface (Create, Read, Update, Delete) for advertising campaigns and web tracking pixels, and an interface for importing audiences.• Responsible for discovering and documenting complex sequences of SQL relational database updates. I specified the project, answered developer questions and manually validated that the databases were being updated correctly in each possible test case. • Connexity had no separate QA and relied on developers to do all of their own Quality Assurance testing.

• Shared management responsibilities for 15 local and remote developers responsible for the admin web interface used to manage advertising campaigns. Our teams were responsible for all of their own automated and manual Quality Assurance tests.• Earlier, as manager of the Operations Team, I supported QA and other internal customers by investigating and resolving issues they discovered. In addition to QA, our team was responsible for addressing ad hoc issues from all internal users, investigating poorly performing ad campaigns, and managing the critical payout processes. • Directed development of the video advertising product. I helped guide architecture and was responsible for manual, end-to-end tests of each release. I worked closely with QA to explain evolving functionality and provide test cases.Fastclick was acquired by ValueClick in 2006.ValueClick was renamed Conversant in 2014

• Leader and major contributor of the team that re-architected STAR, a multi-user application used for scheduling each facet of Vandenberg Air Force Base and Cape Canaveral missile launches, implemented in C++ and Oracle PL/SQL stored procedures. • This government contract included robust processes and teams for validating contract requirements as well as QA of the logic. I met frequently with the QA representatives to explain the team’s changes and to address any questions.

• Started shortly after after NZRO's IPO. Initially hired as "Web Engineer," spent time as "Manger of Web Development," and finally "Senior Software Engineer" working on NetZero's Content Server.• As engineering manager I was responsible for coordinating development and testing of NetZero's advertising application.

Worked on TS/Reorg at the Dimeric Lab in Westlake Village, CA. TS/Reorg was a garbage collector for Oracle relational databases. It allowed a dba to quickly and accurately dump a table and rebuild it for optimal operation. Computer Associates acquired Platinum Technology shortly before I left.

Worked on UI team designing and building graphical user interfaces using Athena X windows and Motif on Solaris using C++. Built translators and scripted revision control tools.
