Leading Die Heilsarmee (The Salvation Army) in Germany, Lithuania and Poland with my wife Eirwen. Die Heilsarmee is a Christian church that exists to love God and love other people without discrimination.

The International Social Justice Commission promotes justice and peace with particular concern for poor and marginalized people.

I am coordinating an initiative across The Salvation Army's work in 126 countries to strengthen accountability systems, improve governance and our ability to measure the impact of our work. This will build on the work done in the past 12 months particularly on impact measurement where The Salvation Army was supported by The Bridgespan Group to develop faith-based impact measurement resources. These will soon be piloted in 5 countries around the world.

Researched and developed a new International Health Strategy for Salvation Army work around the world - focusing on quality, faith-based, primary health care as close to the family as possible and working with congregations where possible.Support the construction of a new hospital in Cochabamba, Bolivia and the completion of the new Howard Hospital in Zimbabwe (to open in November 2014). Presently working with CBRE and Source 8 to construct new facilitities for The Salvation Army's oldest hospital, the Catherine Booth Hospital, Nagercoil, Tamil Nadu,India

The Programme Resources team supports Salvation Army work around the world particularly in areas of community development, health, emergency services and communications.My work currently focuses on:1. Developing health facilities around the world to serve poor and marginalised communities.2. Increase congregational and community based primary health care initiatives3. Develop impact and measurement tools for programmes around the world which are faith sensitive and context appropriate.4. Encourage greater reflective practice across The Salvation Army using the faith-based facilitation process.I also teach Christian Ethics at the International College for Officers to each session of leaders - my wife and I have done this together for the past 6 years.I enjoy preaching and teaching on a regular basis around the world.

During this time I was a part time police chaplain to the Warwickshire Constabulary

Led the administrative services for a hospital, nurse training school and community-based health and development programme in rural Zambia. Restructured the accounting and personnel systems.

Developed the church and community programme in the Suffolk area; worked as a part-time prison chaplain at HMP Hollesley Bay Young Offenders and Adult Prison; developed the "door to door" fundraising programme for The Salvation Army in the area; developed partnerships with other church and community groups including civic leaders.

Provided personnel and industrial relations services to five companies in the Everite Group in the Western Cape and Namibia - including personnel recruitment, union negotiations for wages and recognition agreements; personnel administrative systems

I worked at two mines during this time as I completed my training as a personnel officer - Rand Mines Milling and Mining in central Johannesburg; and Rietspruit Collery near Witbank
