Key responsibilities • Management of the Environmental Management System, including Policy and procedures review, PPC authorisation, management reviews and the development and delivery of appropriate training• Management and reporting of energy CCLA data and advice on utilities monitoring/reduction management and advice on all aspects of non-hazardous and hazardous wastes, including handling, identification, administration, documentation, budgetary monitoring, auditing and reporting.• Health and Safety and ATEX Compliance in Hazardous (Explosive) Environment • Laser Safety• COSHH Compliance and Chemical Safety• Managing the relationships of external bodies such as HSE, EA, YWA and other professional / regulatory bodies.• Legislation and Compliance• Energy resource and conservation• Future product impact planningOther Responsibilities • Site Movement and Transport of Waste Materials• Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor • Shipping of Dangerous Goods (IATA, ADR, IMDG Certificated)• Providing H&SE support on new product introduction • Advising on general H&S issues, including COSHH, DSEAR, PPE, emergency planning of coating manufacturing department and labs• Integrated Management System auditing • REACH compliance• Accident and ‘Near-Miss’ investigations• Environmental and Safety training of staff (CIEH registered tutor)• Member of the site Environmental Steering Committee, Health & Safety Steering Committee, Environmental Strategy Group and Crisis Management Team• Management of ISO14001:2004 System • Managing compliance with PPC permit conditions• Managing site CCLA, energy management and data submission• Management of site waste both hazardous & non hazardous• Management of Producer Responsibility Obligation for Packaging Waste • Liaison with regulatory bodies• Management System auditing • Chemical Safety (COSHH)

• Running of Coating Manufacture Department• Co-ordinate and contribute to the activities of the Coating Manufacture Dept, to achieve manufacturing plans and targets, through optimum use of plant, process and systems.• Promote and ensure adherence to safety policies and standards thereby achieving a safe working environment.• Co-ordinate planned maintenance and repairs to equipment, process and plant to minimise lost time. Ensure high house-keeping standards are maintained to achieve an organised working environment.• Maintain high quality standards and technical specifications for all products, processes to meet customer and Company requirements.• Identify and progress opportunities for continuous improvement, for people, process, plant and systems to increase customer satisfaction and achieve lower costs in manufacturing.• Maintain manufacturing procedures, documentation, graphs, handover processes, work instructions, etc, to ensure effective communications, for continuity of the manufacturing process• Operate machines to correct procedures to control atmospheric pollution, waterborne effluent, hazardous waste and other waste to prescribed standard to contribute to protection of the environment2002 to 2004 -Production Line Shift Leader.Main responsibilities: -• Co ordination and Running of Three Production Lines engaged in the surface treatment of metal using chemicals and solvents• Health and Safety• Environmental / Waste management support• Staff Development• Product Quality and Continuous Improvement
