Pos - Service Technician
CurrentTake care of allocated assets and represent Wedderburn in a professional manner at all timesBecome proficient with the operation and technical aspects of existing and new hardware and software products, such as Point of Service (POS), retail and weighing systems, bar-code printing, scanning devices and any new technical product. All aspects of the hardware and software including installation and system configuration must be learned with the aim of providing an ongoing support to internal and external customers Set-up, commissioning and installation of weighing solutions Be involved in After Hours Support Contribute to the support knowledgebase Database analysis & repairs Maintain and create technical documentation Train customers on the use of hardware and software products Assist sales in customer demonstration of technical products Assist service personnel in problem resolution To be actively involved in product related technical issues, inquiries and problem solving. Troubleshoot and work around problems relating to hardware and software products Respond to and record requests for changes before escalating to product support team Provide feedback to management on ways to enhance the product Prioritise tasks in cooperation with management, sales and service requirements Ensure problems are properly documented Monitor and implement system developments as required Assist in the assembly and delivery of technical information Be aware of products’ regulatory requirements in related industries Evaluation of new products with the prime objective to promote and facilitate appropriate training across the branch Provide expert technical advice to Wedderburn personnel and customers in relation to products Be aware of competitors’ products
