I’ve embarked on a new journey as a freelance fire safety consultant, offering expert advice, guidance, and comprehensive services in fire safety.

• In my current role, I regularly undertake both Fire risk assessments in line with PAS79 on behalf of third-party management agents or landlords. Fire assessments are undertaken within various commercial and residential buildings, including student accommodation. These buildings varying in age, size, and usage, include purpose-built residential buildings, (including HRBs) converted houses, HMOs, office blocks and mixed-use buildings. • Instrumental in the creation and undertaking of Building Safety Case projects to include one of the highest modular buildings in Europe • To undertake specialist assessments for the All-England Lawn Tennis Club – Wimbledon and ironic sites including Eton College.• Performed regular inspections of commercial and residential buildings to identify and mitigate fire hazards.• Advise on short and longer solutions in terms of the different challenges faced by those who are responsible for suitable management arrangements. • Assisting and supporting clients with temporary changes to implement simultaneous evacuation strategy in purpose-built blocks of flats.• Assessing risk on a daily basis and making decisions on the nature of that risk and appropriate controls based on the priority, what is both practical and reasonable in terms of resources and timescales, as well as types of persons involved or affected.

With Safedays Ltd, I have gained an increasing scope of responsibilities managing and implementing health, safety, and fire initiatives. I also develop strategies and procedures to ensure compliance with government legislation and regulations. Mainly, I deliver executive-level leadership with full accountability for all fire, health and safety policies in more than 25 facilities in multiple countries.• Spearheaded the creation and execution of core Fire, Safety and Health policies and procedures specific to individual facilities in England.• Carry out fire risk assessments and audits on various buildings, including residential buildings, MOD sites, commercial and retail properties to identify all potential breaches. • Conceptualised and managed Programmed Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedules for clients to safeguard 100% compliance ratings for legal statutory testing and inspections, ensuring quality control and cost reductions.

While serving as Head of Health, Safety, Environment, and Fire Management, I maintained the government services and local authority’s division, directly interacting with key stakeholders to mobilize fire, health and safety procedures. Here, I provided senior-level management, with oversight of contracts with 600 members of staff, within several multimillion-pound PFI and partnership projects.• Responsibility for the strategic planning and merging of fire and safety systems of Interserve partnership programmes and newly awarded contracts.• Undertaking and reviewing of fire risk assessments within various FM awarded buildings, together with the conducting of internal fire and safety audits, including the management of corrective and preventative actions. • Management of Fire, Health and Safety team, with direct responsibility for 10 members of staff.• Collaborated with BAA Heathrow on the implementation of emergency evacuation plans.

Towards the beginning of my career, I designed and built the Vertis fire and safety policy manuals, and directed the selection of contractors and issuing of permits to work, ensuring quality control and value for money. Here, I guided day-to-day facilities management operations with emphasis on fire, safety, health, and environment control.• Creating and implementing the Programmed Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedules for all sections of the company to safeguard 100% compliance relating to legal statutory testing and inspections. • Carrying out fire risk assessments within several printing manufacturing and warehouse units throughout the UK that were originally covered by fire certification under repealed sets of legislation/acts including the 1971 Fire Precautions Act to ensure compliance in accordance with the newly introduced Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005• In charge of conducting internal audits and managing corrective and preventative actions to improve efficiency.• Overseeing of all factory construction projects, refurbishments and the installation of new plant and equipment.
