Dean is a member of the Board of the Trafalgar Ross Foundation of Trafalgar School in Montreal, and a director and member of the National Executive of the Canadian Broadcast Standards Council. Since 2020, Dean has also been Corporate Secretary and a member of the Board of Directors of Eeyou Mobility, delivering mobile wireless services to Eeyou Istchee and the James Bay region of Quebec.
