Freight Sales & Voyage Fixtures•Keeping a weekly manifest of our predicted monthly forecasts, in order to predict which services we are going to be under/over performing on. This allows us to allocate extra space to agencies during busy periods, while keeping the vessel within its TEU and weight allowances.•Developing new contacts and working to increase customer base/support through building strong, professional relationshipsVessel/Fleet Management•Liaising with the vessels and masters to ensure that sailings are in keeping with agreed schedules and alerting ports if a vessel is due to arrive early/late.•Managing vessel figures for sailings from all of our North European ports, to ensure that vessels are sailing to 100% of their capacity and weight allocations.Operations & Planning•Keeping my knowledge of the fleet vessels and services up to date, as to be aware of any changes at either load or disports which may affect the routing, voyage time or profitability of our service.•Keeping in contact with the vessels and ports to ensure that berthing, load/discharging are all updated in the schedule and adjusted if necessary.•Arranging for alternative vessel routings when a ship is due to omit certain discharge ports and ensuring that all necessary steps are taken in order to avoid extra charges if a ship is delayed or due for early arrival at a loadport. Agents, Port Charges & Disbursements •Acting as primary contact for all of our European agencies including; UK, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, France, Spain, Scandinavia, Russia.
